From a small workshop in Pune to a global manufacturing powerhouse — 26 years of relentless innovation.
VoltCore Energy was founded in 1998 by Dr. Arjun Sharma, a battery electrochemist, with a singular conviction: India deserved world-class batteries made on home soil. Starting with a team of 12 engineers and a 5,000 sq ft facility in Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad industrial belt, we produced our first batch of 500 automotive batteries.
By 2005, we had expanded to a 200,000 sq ft facility and launched our first export consignment to Sri Lanka. The renewable energy boom of 2012 pushed us into solar batteries, and the EV revolution of 2018 saw us build South Asia's first dedicated EV battery production line.
Today, VoltCore operates two world-class plants with a combined capacity of 1.2 million units per month, employs 4,800 people, and exports to 48 countries — all while remaining headquartered in Pune where it all began.
To manufacture the world's most reliable and sustainable energy storage solutions, empowering industries and communities to thrive without interruption.
To be the global benchmark for battery excellence by 2030 — leading innovation in EV, renewable storage, and circular economy battery systems.
Integrity in every cell. Innovation with purpose. Sustainability as standard. Accountability without exception. People before profit.
